Jerome R. Obed, DO, FAOCD, FAAD, a native Floridian, has lived in South Florida for the past 20 years. After graduating from the University of Florida with honors in Zoology and Human Nutrition, he attended medical school at A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri. Upon graduation, Dr. Obed returned to Florida where he completed his first residency at Broward Health Medical Center, becoming board certified in Family Medicine. After working in urgent and critical care settings for three years, Dr. Obed completed a second residency at Broward Health Medical Center in Dermatology. He has been practicing as a board-certified dermatologist for over 10 years at his private practice in Ft. Lauderdale.

Dr. Obed plays an integral role in the education of medical students and residents as an associate professor at Nova Southeastern University. He is also involved in pharmaceutical research in dermatology, having served as the principal investigator on numerous medical trials.

In his free time, Dr. Obed enjoys working as a ringside physician, where he cares for elite athletes both inside and outside of the ring. Since 2006, he has made numerous appearances on ESPN and other television networks for both professional boxing and mixed martial arts events.
